Information on PropertyEDGE's retirement and legacy

PropertyEDGE is currently no longer be available to WSRB Subscribers.

With a decrease in usership and challenges in keeping the tool updated, WSRB has decided to retire PropertyEDGE and focus on delivering the same data through more effective platforms. This ensures data remains up to date and readily accessible.

History of PropertyEDGE

PropertyEDGE originally launched in 2013, conceived as a means to expand insurance professionals' toolbox - a one-stop resource for a broad range of information on properties in Washington.

A web-based product, PropertyEDGE utilized GIS technology to provide insurance professionals with information on weather, land, natural hazards, fire protection, and demographics. Features included:

  • Ability to locate WSRB rated buildings, reports, loss costs, and protection classes
  • Access to wildfire boundaries, earthquake fault lines, tsunami and FEMA flood zones to better evaluate natural hazard exposures
  • Tools to measure distance, area, and slope to better determine adjacent exposure, values, and slope related concerns

In 2017, WSRB launched an updated version of PropertyEDGE. The new version brought a host of improvements, including:

  • Faster load times
  • Single-line address look-up and greater look-up capabilities, enabling search with incomplete/inaccurate addresses
  • Greater browser compatibility
